Thousands of women united at Westpoint Exeter this weekend with one mission in mind – to conquer cancer.

Exeter’s small business community has received a boost with the opening of a new work hub and the expansion of another.

Devon work hubs, which is supported by Devon County Council, is a growing community of friendly and flexible work spaces, perfect for home-based and mobile workers, business start-ups, freelancers and entrepreneurs.

Used car dealers sentenced

Two used car dealers operating out of Bideford, North Devon, have been found guilty of selling dangerous and unroadworthy second-hand cars.

At Exeter Crown Court on 21 July 2016, Paul Fitzgerald John Hussey received a suspended sentence and was ordered to carry out 200 hours unpaid work and Adam George Wallis was ordered to carry out 150 hours unpaid work.

In summing up the judge said it was only by luck that their activities had not led to a ‘serious road accident.’

Exeter’s future doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals had the chance to learn more about possible careers in the NHS during the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital’s Work Observation Week.

A major new independent study¹ commissioned by The Prince’s Countryside Fund into the future of small family farms across the UK, has revealed a steep decline in numbers since the beginning of the century.

Over the last two or three decades, small family farms have experienced profound change. Women’s Institute contribute to Seaton Wetlands

The Seaton Women’s Institute is marking its 100th year anniversary by donating a bench to Seaton Wetlands. Blue Chip Holidays presented the RNLI with a cheque for £1,000.

The Exmouth RNLI was the lucky receiver of the donation, which is to help the crew in all the work they do in the local Exmouth community.
