Aldi is currently looking to recruit for 173 store colleagues in Devon.

In a welcome boost to the local economy, the UK’s fourth largest supermarket is looking for people of all levels of experience to fill roles at its stores across the region.

This includes both full-time and part-time positions such as Store Assistant and Stock Assistant, all the way up to Assistant Store Manager.

Devon Partnership NHS Trust (DPT) has appointed Taps Mutakati as its new Chief Operating Officer.

Taps will assume his position in the early autumn, bringing with him a wealth of experience. He joins the organisation from NHS Kent and Medway, where he is the Director of Mental Health System Collaboration. Part of Exe Estuary Trail to close for three months for repair work

Part of the Exe Estuary Trail will be closed for three months later this year for repair work.

The Courtlands Boardwalk section, between Lympstone and Exmouth, will close in late September after an inspection found that timber elements of the structure are deteriorating.

In order for them to be replaced with a “more durable fibre-reinforced material,” Devon County Council says the section will be out of use for around three months. A diversion will be put in place.

South West pupils are taking part in an essential new University of Exeter programme designed to give them specialist support as they prepare to go on to higher education.

The Bridges to Higher Education scheme aims to widen participation and access to university. Teenagers are being given expert advice on student finance, studying for degrees and degree apprenticeships, their post-18 options, and choosing a degree course.
