Ragamuffins Hair located in Kenton, Exeter, recently celebrated their 20th Anniversary by giving back to their community and hosting a charity event to raise money for local Exeter cancer support charity, Force (Friends of the Oncology and Radiotherapy Centre, Exeter).

To celebrate 20 years of business, salon owner Nikki Farrant and the Ragamuffins team held a fundraising event to raise awareness and money for Force Cancer Charity, a local charity who work to raise money to aid research, purchase state of the art equipment to improve cancer treatment and provide support to cancer...

Pop idol Olly Murs has announced an outdoor concert at historic Powderham Castle, near Exeter on Saturday, July 29 2017.

The popular singer-songwriter is one of British music’s biggest stars with record sales exceeding 10 million.

He played a sell-out show to more than 20,000 people at the venue in 2013.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday, December 2.

Thousands of fans are expected to descend on the venue – home of the Earl and Countess of Devon – for the event.

Appeal after serious collision in Exeter

Police are appealing to the public following a serious collision that has left a man and a woman with serious injuries.

At approximately 4.31pm on Tuesday 29 November, two vehicles, a silver Microcar Dynamic SEI and a Toyota Hilux, were involved in a collision on the A30 junction A3015, Honiton Road, Exeter.

As a result of the incident, a 69-year-old woman and an 83-year-old man were taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital before being transferred to Derriford Hospital.

Deaf students get set for Exeter Santa Run

Staff and students from Exeter Deaf Academy will be among the sea of Santa’s running along Exeter Quay this Sunday.

Devon County Council has scooped a number of accolades at this year's Social Worker of the Year Awards, placing it among the highest achieving authorities in the sector.

78 social workers and social work teams from across England were selected as finalists across 15 different categories, celebrating the achievements of social care practitioners in services that support children and adults.

£3.5m funding programmes open for South Devon projects

Two programmes offering funds for rural and small business projects is now open.

The South Devon Coastal Local Action Group (SDC LAG) and the Greater Dartmoor Local Economic Action Fund (GD LEAF) have been awarded a total of £3.5 million to allocate to business projects which encourage and promote business growth, productivity and create jobs.

Police target motorists who flout traffic laws

Officers from the Devon and Cornwall Police roads policing team are out again this week in unmarked cars targeting motorists who flout traffic laws, in an effort to help keep our roads safe.
