Overnight closures no longer required this week on Bridge Road in Exeter

Overnight closures on Bridge Road in Exeter which were provisionally planned for tonight (Tuesday 13 November) and Wednesday night (Wednesday 14 November) are no longer needed.

Devon County Council has confirmed that remedial work to correct minor faults/snagging issues from the recent improvement scheme, and work to install expansion joints on the railway bridge and Countess Wear Flood relief bridge, have been substantially completed over the past few evenings.

The road will now be open, and any outstanding work will be carried out overnight using a single lane closure...

Organisers of TEDxExeter, the leading South West ideas festival, have announced that tickets for its eighth annual event will soon be released for sale.

Tickets for the much-anticipated day will be available from 10am on Friday 30th November 2018 via ticket website Eventbrite.

The event, which usually sells out in minutes, will take place on Friday 5th April 2019 at Exeter’s Northcott Theatre. Interested attendees are encouraged to act fast to avoid disappointment.

Stagecoach South West has been announced as the official Travel Partner for Exeter’s Christmas lights switch-on on Sunday 18 November.

More than 15,000 people attended last year’s switch on, with similar numbers expected for this year’s event, which marks the traditional start of the Christmas shopping period and late night shopping, which this year kicks off on Thursday November 22.
