The award-winning York-based architects brown + company have won approval for a major housing project in Exeter.

Plans to build more than 800 studios and student flats at a gateway site on the edge of the city centre have finally been given the green light by planners.

Design work is underway for a new leisure centre, a key addition to Cranbrook’s expanding town centre, with proposals including a 25-metre and learner pool, gym, fitness studios, soft play, and a café.

Wilson has moved back to the UK having been a part of the Southland Stags coaching staff for the last four years. The 42-year-old joined the Stags as attack coach in 2021 having previously represented them on more than 80 occasions as a player.

A Devon charity that supports children and young people suffering a bereavement has received a £1,000 donation from a local homebuilder.

Balloons, based in Exeter, was given the money by Bellway, which is building homes in the county in Crediton and Tiverton.

Devon has been named one of the UK’s most haunted regions, according to new research by Where The Trade Buys , one of the UK’s leading print suppliers to the hospitality industry.

The study analysed more than 1,300 recorded ghost sightings from The Paranormal Database, revealing the UK’s most haunted hospitality hotspots ahead of Halloween.

Devon has 43 recorded hauntings across pubs, hotels and restaurants, making it the sixth most haunted region in the UK.
