The Magdalen Chapter has been shortlisted as one of the best hospitality businesses in Devon.

The 2015 Exeter Express & Echo Awards highlights The Magdalen Chapter in the Best Tourism / Hospitality Business category. Devon Street Pastors praised by police chief

Chief Constable Shaun Sawyer opened the third annual Devon and Cornwall Street Pastor Conference by thanking team members for their incredible contribution on behalf of the police and every person they had helped.

The conference, held at Middlemoor Police HQ, was led by ex-Met officer Nick Cornish from the national Street Pastor charity Ascension Trust and supported by Devon and Cornwall Christian Police Association.

Arts offers for Exeter School pupils

Exeter School is proud to announce that two of its pupils have been offered places in the field of the arts.

Upper Sixth pupils Daniel Hambly and Clara Finnigan have been offered degree places for September 2015 at The Architecture Association and the London College of Fashion, respectively.

West Mercia Police have launched an appeal to find a missing man from Evesham.

Brian Bennett, 61 was last seen at around 4.30pm on Wednesday 1 April, and failed to return to his home in Princess Drive.

Officers believe he may be in the Devon and Cornwall area.

Brian (pictured) is described as 5”4, of large build with grey balding hair, a beard and glasses. He wears two hearing aids and was last seen wearing black trousers and red canvas shoes. He drives a blue Volkswagen Golf with the registration VE64 GKY.

Malton latest addition to Chiefs ranks

Newcomer Shaun Malton says he’s ready to start an “exciting new chapter in his life” after he became the latest addition to Rob Baxter’s first team squad at Exeter Chiefs.

The South African-born hooker is the Devon club’s fifth new addition ahead of the 2015/16 season and joins on a two-year deal from Championship outfit Nottingham.

Sun route flights return for Easter

Flybe, the Exeter-based airline, has re-introduced a series of ‘sun route’ flights to Alicante, Malaga and Faro to coincide with the first Bank Holiday of 2015.

The routes to Spain and Portugal from Exeter have started ahead of the Easter break and operate until late September with a frequency of up to four per week from May when Palma Majorca is also introduced into the Flybe schedule.
