Cygnet is bursting into full colour with an eclectic mix of drama, comedy and music.

And if you feel like getting out of the audience you might be tempted by Jonathan Kay’s invitation to try out Fooling or one of Cygnet’s courses in acting – a chance to build up self-confidence in public presentation.

Cygnet welcome Baroque Theatre with their exciting new Inspector Morse adventure - House of Ghosts, especially written for the stage and suitably theatrical!  Pilot’s Thumb return with a comedy double bill  Inner Chip and Eddie promising a hilarious evening.

Cygnet graduates increasingly are forming their own companies and in May we host two such ‘Swan’ Companies – The Peregrine Ensemble & TIC TAC Theatre in a trio of plays: Raggabones, House and The Open Couple.  “a small miracle … a perfect farce’ – John Adams (Paines Plough) of House

The Actor’s Wheel from “MarJohn” who last year brought us The Tempest, return with another classic - Faustus.  Their director Kevin Johnson also returns to finish our summer season with a co-production from Don’t Mention the Gorilla & Symbiotic, bringing an intriguing piece Frozen Butterfly.

Wren Music’s partnership with Cygnet promises another fabulous folk evening – blending tradition and innovation – with a wonderful variety of instruments and sounds – from the guitar and fiddle of Gavin Davenport  and Tom Kitching to the guitar and computer combination of Solarference!

Cygnet’s own Summer play is Marivaux’ The Triumph of Love - and it promises to be a rare and delightful treat - a comedy of mistaken identities and romantic intrigues which will surprise and delight, both indoor and outdoor audiences at home and on tour.

Altogether it is a season crammed with richness.
