Pedestrian dies in Exeter collision

Emergency services attended a serious collision on Fore Street in Exeter city centre on Saturday (25 July).

Police and ambulance were called just before 1pm to attend Fore Street, Exeter after reports of a collision between a lorry and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 78 year old male from the Exeter area, was confirmed deceased at the scene.

Fore Street was closed in both directions for several hours whilst an investigation of the scene took place.

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact police on 101 quoting log number 415 of 25th July 2015
