Countdown to first Thrive Hub opening in Plymouth

Thrive Hubs, an innovative network of co-working hubs, is due to officially open its door for business for the first time in Plymouth in three weeks, thanks to the completion of its first project in Ocean Crescent.

Exeter to host Jehovah’s Witnesses Convention

Jehovah’s Witnesses will soon hold their annual convention at the Westpoint Centre. They extend an open invitation for all to attend. The theme of this year’s program is “Imitate Jesus!”

Everybody needs good neighbours!

The idea of being friends with your neighbour is high on the agenda for people in Exeter with more than a third wanting to know them better.

Research from Barratt Homes reveals that the desire for community spirit is alive and well and those living in new homes are leading the way. They are already the most likely to socialise with their neighbours with 15 per cent of those living in new homes socialising with their neighbours compared with just five per cent of those living in older properties.

Donation will help children with bowel diseases

Exeter families whose children have Inflammatory Bowel Diseases such as Crohn’s or Colitis can now receive extra help with the costs of travelling for treatment thanks to a £2,000 donation from the Exeter Crohn's and Colitis Committee.

Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). They affect parts of the digestive system, which includes the intestines or bowels, which can become sore and inflamed.
