The Blues House is a non-profit making monthly evening promoting blues music in Devon. Hosted by musician, Jeremy Way(singer/guitarist for mid Devon blues band, Far From the Delta), the evenings start with a house band (who's members kindly give up their time for free), followed by an open blues jam, where anyone can give it a go. Far From the Delta are a local blues rock band who have been going for about 5 years. There are other acts at this event before and after the Band, contact the New Inn for more details. Birds ‘shout’ to be heard over the noise produced by man-made activity, new research has shown.
The innovative study, led by an expert from the University of Exeter, looked at how bluebirds altered their songs in response to increases in nearby background noise caused, in many cases, by human activities such as traffic.
