Westpoint, Exeter welcomes back the much loved Stitching, Sewing and Hobbycrafts show, from the 25-28 September.

This popular show (previously known as Creative Stitches) has been running since 1990 and is a must visit for all avid creative and craft lovers.

Sun shines for exciting Newton Abbot fixture

Ainsi Fideles stamped himself as an up-and-coming chaser for the future when beating the older and more experienced Lamb Or Cod to land the £11,000 North Devon Hospice Novices’ Chase at Newton Abbot on Monday 8th September.

The four-year-old Ainsi Fideles had shown real promise for trainer David Pipe, winning his last three races and earning a handicap mark of 145, just above that of his rival. He confirmed that good impression when taking the lead at the eighth fence and drawing right away from Lamb Or Cod for an easy 25 lengths win, with the other two runners even more strung out...

Spend a day at Newton Abbot Racecourse for their biggest fixture ever to be held on Saturday 30th August.

Saturday’s fixture will see some of the best jockeys and horses in the country compete for a part of the £119,500 prize fund – the biggest prize fund to date.

It’s also the perfect way to celebrate the end of the summer holidays with family and friends.

Racing for the afternoon starts at 2:10pm, with gates opening at 12:10pm.

Enjoy an afternoon of exciting summer jumps racing at Newton Abbot Racecourse on Monday 14th July.

Racing starts at 2:10pm, with gates opening at 12:10pm. The last race for the afternoon will be at 5:10pm.

Tickets can be bought online at www.newtonabbotracing.com until 5pm on Sunday 13th July. Tickets are priced at £12 for the Course Enclosure and £18 for the Paddock Enclosure. There will be the chance to buy tickets at the gates upon arrival.

2-4-1 tickets at Newton Abbot Racecourse

Horseracing fans looking to take advantage of 2-4-1 tickets for Monday fixtures at Newton Abbot Racecourse are reminded that the booking deadlines for July fixtures are fast approaching.

On Monday 7th and 14th July, horseracing fans can enjoy two Paddock Enclosure tickets for the price of one when booked by 5pm one week in advance. These are two of six fixtures in total which fall under the Super Monday promotional offer for this year.
