A well-known local charity that uses therapy with horses to help disadvantaged people will take centre stage during Exeter Racecourse’s Christmas raceday next Thursday and bring the curtain down on a year-long programme of supporting local causes.

More than 7,000 people enjoyed a first-rate day out with glorious sunshine at The Shops at Dartington’s free May Food Fair on 27-28 May. The best of Devon’s food and drink scene came together, from vibrant street-food markets to artisan producers, with top chefs demonstrating recipes and offering tricks of the trade.

New Mud Fun Run launched in Dartington for families

Thrill-seeking families are invited to get muddy for a good cause at a brand-new event at The Shops at Dartington during their May Food Fair on Sunday 27 May.

The Mud Larks Fun Run will consist of a 3km course, run twice by those feeling truly mighty, and includes a 500-foot zipline, 40-foot abseil, running through mud, navigating tyres, taking part in a dry kayak hill climb and there’s even archery thrown in too.

All profits from the Fun Run will go to Unity in Sport, a Plymouth based organisation that encourages children of all abilities to get involved in sport. The run...

After a staggering response to the first limited edition Elmhirst Gin, The Shops at Dartington is thrilled to announce a second limited edition Elmhirst Gin which is due to launch on Sunday 6th August 2017.

Officially launched at Dartington Food Fair in May, the 157 bottles of the first edition Elmhirst Gin have already been sold. There has been such demand from The Shops at Dartington’s customers for more of this popular gin, fired by this being the spirit of the moment, that it became apparent that another batch was required.

Dartington C of E Primary School help Luscombe Drinks plant 1,600 trees on the Dartington estate

On Wednesday 18th January, local artisan drinks producer, Luscombe Drinks teamed up with Dartington C of E Primary School to plant 1,600 trees as part of an innovative Agroforestry Project on the Dartington estate. Over 30 children from the school joined employees from Luscombe Drinks to assist with the planting of the Elder trees. The elderflowers, which will first be harvested in three years, will be grown in accordance with organic farming practices and used by the Buckfastleigh-based company to create Organic Elderflower Bubbly.
