The Ultimate Crisp Sandwich campaign is encouraging foodies to get creative and liven up dull lunchtimes by enjoying some delicious crisp sandwiches. On Wednesday 8 June, from 7-9pm, local charity Exeter Deaf Academy is inviting Deaf people and their families to a free opening of the new Active Outdoors Community Club, at Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre, on Exeter Quay.
Thanks to funding from Awards for All England, who have awarded a lottery grant of £4,655 towards this yearlong community project, the new Deaf-inclusive club will be offering taster sessions of canoeing, kayaking, archery, sailing and caving in an accessible environment.

A walking treasure hunt and barbecue, to raise funds for new gymnastics equipment for Honiton Gymnastics Club, is taking place at Honiton Rugby Club on Saturday 21 May - and everyone is welcome. Starting at 1pm, the fun afternoon for all the family - which has been organised by the club's Supporters Association. The Treasure Hunt is open to teams of between one and six.
