Sandford Orchards celebrates 20th anniversary of hobby turned business success

In 2002 Barny Butterfield began making cider in a shed. Fast forward 20 years and he is Chief Cidermaker and owner of Sandford Orchards, a business that produces over 7 million pints of cider per year, yet still retains Barny’s original vision, to produce the best tasting cider ‘done right’.

Devon’s Work Hub network is continuing to grow across the county with the addition of three more hubs. Axminster, Ivybridge and Totnes are the latest to join the network, which now has a total of 22 flexible coworking spaces. Adults in Devon have the chance to gain skills in the region’s fastest-growing sectors through the latest wave of Train4Tomorrow Skills Bootcamps.

Train4Tomorrow Skills Bootcamps , delivered by Devon County Council and Cornwall Council, offer a range of fully-funded digital and technical courses for anyone looking to move into a new career.

Third of all UK employees feel undervalued at work

One-third of all employees in the UK feel undervalued at work, according to new national research revealed today.

The research, conducted by Appreciate Business Services, the home of Love2shop, puts the number of employees who feel undervalued across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland at 10 million people.

Nearly four-fifths (79%) of employees who feel undervalued are looking for a job elsewhere, with that figure increasing to nine out of ten (90%) among the youngest demographic aged 18-24.
