Exeter businesswoman and Age UK Exeter trustee Rachael Whitson is swimming the English Channel with Team H2 Oh! to raise funds for a local charity close to her heart Age UK Exeter.

Exeter’s Really Big Quiz raises record amount for charity

Exeter’s 15th annual Really Big Quiz, organised by chartered accountancy firm Simpkins Edwards and held at the Corn Exchange, has raised an all-time record amount for the Lord Mayor of Exeter’s charity of the year. Beating the previous record of £8,141 set in 2015, the event, which is one of the highlights of the Devon business calendar, raised £9,174 for Age UK Exeter.

Legal firm's donation boosts city charity project

AN ‘at risk’ charity project, which supports people with dementia, has moved a step closer to being saved, thanks to a donation from Exeter solicitors Cartridges Law. Developed in partnership by Age UK Exeter and Studio 36, the Budding Friends initiative provides a weekly allotment project through the spring and summer and art workshops for people living with dementia.

City law firm supports art initiative

A NEW initiative, which features artwork created by people living with dementia, has received support from legal firm Cartridges Law.

The company will be displaying work from local creative workshop Budding Friends in the foyer of its Cowick Street offices, in support of Age UK Exeter and dementia care in the local community.

The exhibition was launched at a private viewing with some of the artists, their family and friends, as well as the firm’s private client and reception teams. Everyone is invited to drop in and see the colourful displays.

Princesshay and local charity, Age UK Exeter has raised over £22,000 since the launch of their charity partnership in January 2015.

Age UK Exeter is a local charity serving local people and is part of the Age UK family.

Each year Age UK Exeter connects with over 5,000 older people and directly supports over 1,000 older people every week. It delivers over 30 services and activities across the city weekly and is supported by over 280 volunteers.

Children having fun on electric go-carts rides in Princesshay this summer has raised over £600 for Age UK Exeter. Operators Go-Kart Party donated 10% of all takings throughout the summer to Age UK Exeter as part of the continued annual charity partnership between Age UK Exeter and Princesshay.

Exeter lawyers get knitting for Age UK

A 15-strong team of knitters from law firm Stephens Scown LLP have been brandishing their needles in aid of the Exeter office’s chosen charity, Age UK Exeter. Stephens Scown’s knitting club has knitted as many little woolly hats as possible for the Exeter branch of Age UK, in support of the charity’s nationwide campaign “the Big Knit”. The club, comprised of 15 knitters of mixed experience, have knitted 375 hats in total. Princesshay's security get set for Great West Run

Members of the Princesshay security team are limbering up for the annual Great West Run in Exeter on 18th October, to raise money for Princesshay’s charity of the year, Age UK Exeter.
