Barratt David Wilson Homes Exeter reveal contribution to the UK’s economic output

Local homebuilder Barratt David Wilson Homes Exeter division has built more than 500 new homes in and across Devon, Cornwall and parts of Somerset in the last financial year – of which 120 homes were affordable – contributing over £87 million to the UK’s economic output.

The achievements are highlighted in a new report, which also measures the housebuilder’s social and economic footprint in the region during 2022. This includes:

Aldi is recruiting new colleagues in Devon as a result of its continued expansion in the area.

In a welcome boost to the local economy, the UK’s fastest growing supermarket is currently recruiting for 20 store roles, including Store Assistants.

OBE for University of Exeter expert helping to develop the UK’s Russia policy

A University of Exeter expert has been awarded O.B.E for his work to help develop UK Government policy towards Eastern Europe and Russia.

Professor David Lewis, from the Department of Politics, is also a Senior Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in London. South West recycling firm donates £5,000 to Dartmoor Zoo’s Amur Leopard enclosure
