The Richard Alston Dance Company has created a new, diverse and entertaining programme for their 2013 visit to Exeter Northcott Theatre.
Martin Lawrance's Madcap is a startlingly original piece with music by New York band, Bang on a Can All-Stars.
In Buzzing Round the Hunnisuccle, Alston combines two pieces of music by Jo Kondo in a dance of nimble and breathtaking precision: Isthmus moves with rapid light rhythms, both sharp and delicate. By contrast, Hunnisuccle is an oasis of calm-hushed chords creating a sense of mystery in the air.

Symposium Roman Exeter – revealing what lies beneath modern day Exeter
This symposium will reveal the Roman city that lies beneath the surface of modern-day Exeter. Speakers discuss the 1970s excavations that revealed the legionary fortress, the Roman bath-house and the remains of the basilica, plus recent discoveries at St Loyes and the west of Exeter.
The day includes a tour of RAMM’s Roman artefacts.
Organised by the Exeter Branch of the Devonshire Association, with RAMM, to mark the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Devonshire Association.
