Staff from South Devon’s Buckfast Abbey have clubbed together to donate over 100 teddy bears to help comfort children experiencing distress caused by conflict, starvation or abuse worldwide.
Led by Buckfast Abbey’s Education Manager, Alison Gagg, the project has seen colleagues from across all the Abbey’s departments joining forces to collect soft, cuddly teddy bears over the summer months, ready to send to children in areas of conflict or crisis, such as Ukraine, Syria and Pakistan.

The appointments have been made across a number of areas of the organisation.
Matt Roach has joined Exeter Science Park as Head of Operations. Chartered accountant, Matt, who was formerly managing director of Exeter Airport for nine years, will be a key member of the science park’s leadership team. He will lead on the operational aspects of Exeter Science Park and will work collaboratively to develop and implement the organisation’s strategy for growth.

The supermarket’s Emergency Winter Foodbank Fund will see it donate £250,000 to help organisations as they prepare to face heightened demand on their services.
