Kidnapping Lapdancers cleared

Three lapdancers and their manager have been cleared of kidnapping a Gloucestershire club boss. Curtis Woodman alleged the four women and two men forced him into a car and robbed him in September 2012. Dancers Mandy Cool, Rachel Goodchild and Stephanie Pye, and manager Charlotte Devaney, had worked for him during the Cheltenham Hunt Festival. Brothers Robert Morris, 27, and Alexander Morris, 23, were also cleared of kidnap. During the trial DJ and Manager Ms Devany told Bristol Crown Court Mr Woodman had invented the kidnap to avoid paying them £42,000. The £42,000 sum was allegedly taken...

Six On Saddles complete 32 miles for Exmouth RNLI

Volunteer RNLI lifeboat crew members from Exmouth, Max Champion, Stephen Satchell, Paul Fox, Lee Manning, Neil Cannon and Hedley Saunders completed a 32 mile cycle from Supacat in Dunkeswell to Exmouth RNLI lifeboat station on Saturday (25 January) to raise funds towards the new launch and recovery vehicle needed for the Exmouth’s new Shannon class lifeboat. The challenge, made even harder as the cyclists were wearing full all weather RNLI lifeboat kit, celebrated the charity’s SOS Day which is on Friday 31 January.

Incoming storm sparks health fears

Batten down the hatches yet again - another storm is heading our way this weekend.

This January has been the wettest for 100 years and looks set to end as it started.

A further area of heavy rain and strong to gale force winds will spread eastwards across the UK today (Friday) bringing around 40 mm on some high ground in the South West of England.

The Met Office recently added a severe ice warning to their warnings of wind and rain trhough the weekend.

Winds will increase tomorrow, with gusts of up to 50 to 60 mph, and perhaps to around 70 mph in exposed...
