Bridge demolition timelapse

The South Devon Link Road project team has released timelapse footage of some of the activity undertaken during recent engineering works.

The footage shows the removal of the old accommodation bridge, which was removed during the work over the Christmas holiday period.

Since the project began, timelapse footage has been gathered at locations along the 5.5 km route, and some of these cameras were temporarily relocated to capture the action during the Christmas works.

Devon v Cornwall - the Exeter ladies take on Perranporth.

The Exeter Golf and Country Club Ladies Still Cup winning team in 2013 played against Perranporth, the equivalent Gammon Trophy winning team from Cornwall, for the Tamar Trophy at Exeter on Sunday 2 March.

Rob Baxter believes Sam Hill underlines the "success story" of the Exeter Chiefs Academy after the young back today agreed a new two-year contract extension with the Aviva Premiership club.

Exeter College celebrates 'Oustanding' from Ofsted

Exeter College students and staff are celebrating after being rated as outstanding by education inspectors. The college, which was also rated outstanding by Ofsted less than two years ago, has become the first college in Devon and Cornwall to reach the standard under a new ratings framework. It makes it the only education provider to gain this highest accolade in two different inspections in less than two years. Leading supermarkets and retailers have agreed to work with Devon and Cornwall’s Police and Crime Commissioner Tony Hogg as he prioritises the battle against alcohol related crime and misuse. Staff at Exeter’s John Lewis and Waitrose stores were delighted today after receiving an annual bonus worth 15% of their salaries - the equivalent to nearly 8 weeks of pay.
