Farmwise Devon had another extremely successful event this year and the day was attended by over 1,400 primary school children from across Devon from 27 different schools.

More dogs from Devon and Cornwall Police’s “A” litter of 7 police dog puppies, born on 6 June 2013 to mother Ruby, had their passing out parade today (Thursday 4th December).

Argo, Ash, Annie and Ava were reunited with their mother Ruby at Police HQ, Middlemoor in Exeter before receiving certificates and putting on a demonstration of their skills.

Ellie Greensmith, proprietor of Elk Salon in Princesshay received the New Business Award 2014 at the Devon Natwest Venus Awards on the 21st November 2014.

Elk Salon opened in Princesshay in December 2012 with a team of two offering hair styling, colouring, cutting and extensions.

Now that firm bids have been secured for the council’s Knowle site, detailed plans will be drawn up to move East Devon District Council’s offices to two council-owned sites in Honiton and Exmouth, but not to Skypark.

Tonight, (3 December) cabinet was updated on significant changes to the preferred location of new council offices - due to changing market conditions - which mean that SkyPark is no longer a financially viable option.

Council looks to provide more services online

Members of the City Council's Executive are being asked to back a move towards providing more services electronically.

"More and more people are now accessing their services electronically, via the website and through social media," said Cllr Rob Hannaford, Lead Councillor for Housing and Customer Access.
