The latest figures for 2014 show that crime continues to fall across the region.
Recorded figures for January to December 2014 showed a decrease of 3.2% or 2,747 fewer offences compared to 2013, with reductions across a number of crime groups.

The Esplanade in Exmouth will be closed for several days due to a problem with the road surface near to the Premier Inn Hotel site.
A spokesperson for Devon County Council said: "A hole appeared in the road whilst work was going on at the Premier Inn site revealing a sewer pipe around five metres underground.
"The road is closed to traffic but should partially re-open on Monday with two-way traffic lights and then be fully open by Wednesday next week."
