Artist Nick Matson has teamed up with controversial television family The Fulfords to create a unique art holiday experience at their home near Exeter.
The Fulfords rose to fame with Channel 4’s The F***ing Fulfords and BBC3’s Life is Toff, which documented their unconventional way of living in their run-down stately home.
Art enthusiasts will have a rare opportunity to inhabit the stunning period property at the Great Fulford Estate where they can soak up the grounds and landscape during a four night art holiday.
The Fulfords are opening their home for a limited...
Business owners will be disappointed that the Chancellor has reduced the amount they can save for retirement over their lifetime from £1.25m to £1m. Only a few years ago, the lifetime limit was £1.8m - so this represents a massive reduction in the ability to save for retirement. The good news is that the annual allowance has not reduced as was feared, so the opportunity still exists to save a significant sum this year. Business owners may want to use this year’s allowance and any unused allowance for the last three years prior to the year end, rather than...
We might have expected George Osborne to throw everything but the kitchen sink at today. Instead, he provided us with a fully funded budget, and didn't spend the money on cheap giveaways. How very grown up of him - but he's kept plenty of wriggle room to offer some stunning manifesto pledges on IHT. At current interest rates cash ISAs were fairly pointless before, but now are likely to be unnecessary for the vast majority of savers. The new £1,000 tax allowance for savers means you’d need to have cash savings of more than £100,000 at one per cent interest to need to shelter any of it from...

Responding to today’s Budget, Steve Barriball, Chief Executive of leading local advice charity Exeter Citizens Advice Bureau said: "People on the lowest incomes and those without savings benefit least from this Budget.
"The country’s improving financial situation is welcome but it is important to remember it comes against a backdrop of years of rising bills and stagnant wages.
"Positive moves on the personal allowance and fuel duty provide some small gains for stretched households, but there was nothing to address challenges around childcare, energy bills and private rents...
Simpkins Edwards Partner, Adrian Hemmings, commented:
“The Chancellor delivered an overt but effective pre-election budget, which included a raft of measures to help many different key groups, from pensioners to first-time homebuyers.
“His proposed increase to the personal tax allowance to £10,800 next year and an increase in the top rate tax threshold to £43,300 in 2017-18 are among the measures likely to have the most far-reaching impact. In addition, a new personal savings allowance starting next year would mean the first £1,000 of interest on savings would be tax-free...
Children and families will soon have even more to enjoy when visiting the Grand Western Canal Country Park, with plans underway to create a play area in the Canal Basin in Tiverton.
The new facilities will be located on the little-used grassy area at the very end of the towpath where it meets Canal Hill.
Canal Ranger’s are talking to local children, and their parents and carers, to help decide on what equipment to install in the play area. Following this, design and tendering work will take place during the summer, with construction due to take place during the autumn and...

Six of Devon’s eight districts experienced increases in the number of...

Speaking for the partnership, Harry Barton (CEO of Devon Wildlife Trust) said; “Nature is the missing issue from this general election. We need greater political...
