More than 40 staff, supporters and learners at WESC Foundation collected £1439 at Sandy Park on Saturday, when Exeter Chiefs played against London Welsh, winning 74/19 to storm into second place in the Premiership.

WESC Foundation was founded in 1838 and is based on the Topsham Road in Exeter. The charity is dedicated to sharing knowledge, expertise and technologies through effective partnerships and transforming the lives of those affected by visual impairment.

Man and woman found dead at Devon home

Police are investigating the death of an elderly man and woman in Paignton.

Officers were called to a property in Freshwater Drive following concern for the occupants at 9.45pm on Wednesday 11 March.

Officers entered the property and discovered an elderly man and a woman deceased.

The deaths are being treated as unexplained at this time and the investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.

The next of kin and Coroner have been informed.

The fire service attended the property as a precaution and found no signs of a gas leak or carbon monoxide...

Theatre group bring safety messages alive

Devon and Cornwall Police and Devon County Council have joined forces with the Solomon Theatre Company to deliver safety workshops to teenagers about rape and child sexual exploitation.

National theatre group Solomon having been visiting schools across Devon and Cornwall throughout February and March using their drama ‘Last Orders’ to bring personal safety issues to life.

Everys Solicitors has announced plans to launch a specialist commercial team to facilitate deals worth millions of pounds for global businesses.

Ahead of the launch Everys has already helped secure several high value business deals. Thai corporation, the Srivikorn Group Holdings Co Ltd, whose shareholder owns a large share of Reading Football Club, recently completed on the purchase of the Madejski Hotel, next to the club’s stadium.
