Hidden among the Tonga Rugby World Cup team's kit and boot bags is ... a four slice toaster!
When the lads disembarked at the city's Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel fresh from training, a sneaky peek inside the luggage hold revealed the electrical appliance tucked to one side.
Although we have found a recipe online for Tonga Toast that involves a using pan.
So they are either plugging in the device at Exeter University, where their training is taking place, or they took a trip to the Matford Car Boot sale at the weekend.
South West patients with long-term health conditions are getting to see health experts when they need to, in an exciting project driven by research.
Under the existing model of care, patients with conditions such as arthritis are given routine appointments that often take place when their symptoms are mild. Yet when their condition deteriorates it can be difficult to secure an urgent appointment.
Now, a new approach known as Patient Initiated Clinics is hoping to transform the delivery of care across the South West by putting patients in control. Instead of appointments...
We started decorating Exeter’s newest community centre over the weekend and boy does it look better already!
The blue walls have been painted a bright, welcoming white – we’ll get some artwork up there soon, from local people of course, to give it a bit of colour.
We’re doing this again next weekend, there’s still a lot to do, so we’ll be putting on the music, loading up our paintbrushes and enjoying a bit of playful banter as we roll up our sleeves and get stuck in. Come and join us, it’ll be fun!
“We’d had a great time all working together and the main hall now...
In a 2006 piece by the Sunday Times, it was estimated 14% of the money transfers in the UK are handled via designated foreign exchange companies. It’s virtually impossible to verify current usage figures without having access to resources like the Sunday Times has, but it is safe to assume the number is much greater than that.
To prove our point, we can have a look at the revenue of the largest (public) money exchange companies in the world, where there seems to be continuous trend of growth for the past 10 years. There are nowadays more ways to access traditional service providers...

One of South Devon’s newest and most exciting celebrations of local food and produce is all set to draw in the crowds this week as the Taste of the Teign (21-27 September) puts produce picked and reared in the surrounding fields, caught in local waters or harvested from the hedges firmly at the heart of this food and drink celebration.

Update: 23 September: Police investigating a sexual assault, which happened on a train between Taunton and Exeter on 15 July, have arrested a man in connection with the matter.
The 36-year-old from Bideford was arrested yesterday (23 September) on suspicion of sexual assault. He was later released on police bail pending further inquiries.
The man came forward following a media appeal to trace a person detectives wanted to speak to about the incident. Officers would like to thank all those who shared the appeal.
Exeter's Two Tribes skittles team are currently defending their mixed team title in a tense finals of the Butcombe British Skittles championships being held in Torquay.
The team who play out of St Thomas Social Club showed impressive form in the play off stages and are tipped to do well again.
But two popular teams, Heavitree Heroes who were mixed team runners up last year failed to qualify this time. Meanwhile the Sinners, women's champions in 2008 and 2011, are not competing this year.
So it's all down to Two Tribes mixed and men's teams, along...
