A record number of 1,320 primary school pupils across Exeter are set to take to the stage, and complete their own half marathon challenge as part of Exeter’s Great West Run Schools’ Challenge, taking place on Sunday 18 October 2015. Schools from across the city signed up to the 12 week programme, which encouraged pupils to run the equivalent of a mile a week in the lead up to Exeter’s Great West Run. Rugby excitement gripped school children today with just one day until the start of the Rugby World Cup 2015. Primary aged children had their very own spectacular and colourful rugby world cup relay festival to mark the start of the tournament. The main festival site was at West Exe School but the fun wasn't only there!
Eight schools took part in the event which was organised by the RWC15 legacy group a partnership led by local primary schools, Mike Barratt, Active Devon, Exeter City Council, rugby clubs and other local partners.

Eco-minded staff at Redrow (West Country) are to challenge each other in a ‘green’ race to the company’s Exeter head office using different forms of transport in a bid to raise awareness of the greenest, fastest and easiest way to commute to work.
