Meridian RAW CIC, the Exeter-based social enterprise, has announced an exhibition at the Exeter Picturehouse to celebrate the culmination of their community project in central Exeter.
This diverse exhibition is part of the Our Lives, Our Community, Our Voice project which was a two-year community project in Exeter and used photography as a means of engagement and empowerment. The project was managed by the Olive Tree Association/Devon Grapevine in partnership with Meridian Raw and has been generously funded by the People’s Health Trust.

Uniting Exeter in the fight against sexual violence on our street
A group of women from Devon are planning the city’s largest gathering against sexual violence on the streets this autumn. The Reclaim the Night events are designed to promote public awareness about the levels of violence and harassment experienced by women and girls on our streets. Two events are planned; a preparation day of creativity on Saturday 21st November and the March itself on Thursday 26th November.

Police are seeking witnesses to an assault at an Exeter pub which left a man with serious facial injuries.
The victim, a 25-year-old Exeter man, became involved in an altercation with another man within The Sorry Head pub in Blackboy Road.
He was then struck in the face with a pint glass by the man and suffered serious facial injuries. A female customer was also injured in the face by flying glass.
The male offender was ejected from the pub and ran from the scene.
A woman also fled the pub and the pair made off in the direction of St Anne’s roundabout....
The 2016 Devon Farm Business Awards were launched on Monday 2 November, on the farm of Devon’s 2015 “Farmer of the Year”, John and Clare Clapp, at Hartnoll, near Tiverton.
The awards are organised by a partnership of the Addington Fund, the Devon County Agricultural Association (DCAA), and Stephens Scown Solicitors.
Speaking at the launch, DCAA Chairman, Mary Quicke MBE, said that it was when prices were low and times were tough that the farming community most needed the new ideas and business excellence that the awards scheme is designed to highlight.
