Gail Richards, Northern Devon Healthcare Trust’s vocational and young workforce lead has been named NHS Inclusivity Leader of the Year by the South West Leadership Academy. This is in recognition of her work in engaging and developing learning disability interns across the Trust.
Gail has been a key influence in establishing and delivering a number of workforce programmes that support young and less advantaged people, many of whom would not normally consider a career in health or social care. Many of these people have gone on to fulfilling careers within the Trust.
Organised by Exeter Green Walks, this march for the climate will be made around Exeter to raise awareness of politics to take strong decisions at the climate negociations in Paris (COP21).
The march starts from the entrance of Exeter Cathedral at 2pm

The Bowls Development Alliance (BDA) have announced that Active Devon, Devon's innovative County Sports Partnership have been successful in become a hotspot for bowls in the country.
They were one of just eight County Sports Partnerships to be awarded money from the BDA nationally.

Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses to a collision on the A30 at Okehampton in which two elderly people were seriously injured.
Emergency services were called around 6.05pm on Thursday 12 November after the collision between and a DAF large goods vehicle and a Volvo S80 on the westbound carriageway at Sourton.

A 15-strong team of knitters from law firm Stephens Scown LLP have been brandishing their needles in aid of the Exeter office’s chosen charity, Age UK Exeter. Stephens Scown’s knitting club has knitted as many little woolly hats as possible for the Exeter branch of Age UK, in support of the charity’s nationwide campaign “the Big Knit”.
