Legendary 10cc to perform in Exeter

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of their seminal album Sheet Music – which included Top 10 hit The Wall Street Shuffle – 10cc will embark on a 26-date theatre tour, commencing 23rd September at Hall For Cornwall in Truro, before heading to the Great Hall in Exeter in September.

Led by 10cc co-founder Graham Gouldman, the band will perform two sets at each concert, the first half of the evening comprising Sheet Music its entirety, with a pause for the symboli.c turning of the vinyl album.

An additional therapy is now available at an alternative health centre in Cullompton with the arrival of nutritional therapist, Carola Becker.

Carola will be providing nutritional advice at Culm Valley Natural Health, a complementary therapy practice based at College Surgery in Willand Road, which also offers homeopathy, acupuncture, counselling, massage, podiatry and osteopathy.

High winds and heavy rain batter Devon

Motorists are being warned to take care on Devon’s roads today as heavy rain and gale force winds batter the region.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for strong winds, and upgraded their heavy rain warning from yellow to amber, valid until 6pm today.

Flooding has been reported across the region, along with fallen trees. Police are advising drivers to take extra care on the roads due to surface water and reduced visibility.

Hip hop legend and founder member of NWA, DJ Yella has announced he is to perform in Exeter.

The gig has been organised by local gig promoter David Meylan, who brought Snoop Dogg to the city in 2014.

Dave said Snoop’s people put a word in for him after the success of his Devon show.

Stagecoach South West has announced that, due to popular demand, it is extending its sale on tickets for the luxury Stagecoach Gold route 57 until the end of February.

As Local Authorities finalise budgets, a new campaign calls for a halt to the dangerous decline in grant funding by public bodies to charities and community groups.

Available data on public sector grants shows that grants declined from £6 billion in 2003 to £2.2 billion in 2013, and are likely to have even declined further since then.
