Sarah to head up Association of Women in Property for Devon & Cornwall

Marketing and Business Development Manager for Construction Consultancy Ward Williams Associates has been appointed Chairman of the Association of Women in Property (WiP) Devon and Cornwall Satellite Branch.

Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation Black Tie Dinner 2016

The Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) held their South West Annual Conference 2016 at The Rougemont Hotel sponsored by Amey with 75 delegates and speakers. Speakers from across the region presented at the CPD event and this was followed in the evening with a black-tie awards event with 170 guests from the construction industry with a charity raffle raising £1430.

Have your say on Exeter's new bus station

People are being reminded that they can have their say on plans for a new bus station in Exeter at an open forum on Thursday (3 March).

Exeter City Council will be holding the event at the Corn Exchange in Exeter between 8am and 5.30pm.

The Council want to hear from members of the public and interested groups to inform the concept design of the new bus station. The Council want to hear people's views on:

• user facilities • coach arrangements • on street bus stops • arrangements during construction

A University of Exeter student has won a top £1,000 research award for her pioneering work into plankton and plastic.

Funding boost for Exeter pocket park

Exeter St James Community Trust Ltd has won £13,000 of funding from the Government’s Pocket Parks Programme and, thanks to local County Councillor, Jill Owen, a further £5,000 matchfunding has been awarded from DCC's Locality Budget.

Devon County Council will host Stage Six of The Tour of Britain, on Friday 9 September.

The world’s top cycling teams and riders will race from Sidmouth on the East Devon coast to the summit of Haytor on Dartmoor.
