One pair of Big Weekend Tickets is on offer every day at BBC Radio 1’s Academy between Tuesday 17th and Saturday 21st May at Exeter Phoenix. A pilot has been injured after his plane came down in an East Devon field.
Emergency services were called to the incident just before 11am this morning (Friday 13 May) near Branscombe airfield.
The pilot was the sole occupant of the plane and was treated for leg and back injuries after the crash.
Two fire appliances from Sidmouth and the heavy rescue vehicle from Middlemoor also attended the scene, after receiving reports from the ambulance service that a light aircraft had come down in the field.
