First Ability festival hits Exeter this weekend

For the first time ever, Devon charity ‘Living Options’ are hosting ‘Ability’, a free, fun and accessible festival for disabled people and their families in the heart of Exeter. The event coincides with Disability Awareness Day, to celebrate the achievements of disabled people and the Deaf community and will be officially opened by The Lord Mayor of Exeter. New Exeter Chiefs signing Nic White says he feels like he has made '45 new friends' since joining the team.

The Australian international joined this summer from French Top 14 club Montpellier Herault Rugby.

With fellow Aussies such as Julian Salvi, Lachie Turner, Ollie Atkins, Ben White and Dave Dennis already embedded with the Chiefs, the scrum-half was guaranteed a warm welcome.

Exeter City is delighted to reveal the new third kit for the 2017/18 EFL Sky Bet League Two season.

The Grecians have worked together with kit providers Joma, and long term main club sponsors Flybe to create a kit that celebrates the partnership with Flybe, which is now in its 14th consecutive year, making it one of the longest running sponsorships in football.

Exeter project manager completes Dartmoor Classic

Barratt Homes Exeter’s Alun Potter took to the saddle for the Dartmoor Classic cycle ride this week, all in aid of charity.

The technical project manager covered 67 miles in a bid to raise money for Barratt’s nominated charity, the Exeter Foundation.

Providing the city and its surrounding areas with a ‘Civic Trust’, the Exeter Chiefs Rugby Club charity promotes the local community - acting as a fundraising body with a commitment to the future prosperity of the area.

Road users are being advised to expect further overnight closures of Bridge Road in Exeter which are scheduled over the next two weeks for surfacing and road marking.

Additional closures will be carried out from 8:30pm to 5:30am on Tuesday 18 July, Wednesday 19 July, Thursday 20 July and from 10pm Friday 21 July to 5am Saturday morning. PCC puts plans for a deputy on hold

Police and Crime Commissioner Alison Hernandez has put plans to appoint a deputy on hold after the Police and Crime Panel voted not to confirm Mark Kingscote in the role.
