Lush to open new store in Exeter

Handmade cosmetic brand Lush is opening a new store in Princesshay Exeter, due to launch this autumn.

The new, larger premises on Eastgate in Princesshay will replace its smaller unit on Exeter High Street and will be located alongside NEXT and Carphone Warehouse.

From bath bombs to face masks, Lush is a popular British brand which started out in Poole, Dorset. Its decision to move into bigger premises reflects the popularity of its products and service in Exeter’s retail market.

Exeter Mathematics School students achieve among best A-level results in country

Students at a unique South West sixth form for mathematicians have once again scored some of the best A-level results in the country.

A total of 13 per cent of students at the Exeter Mathematics School will attend Oxford or Cambridge universities to study for degrees in science, technology or mathematics subjects, including mathematics, artificial intelligence, physics, engineering and geophysics.

Exeter College celebrates best ever academic results

Today Exeter College is celebrating the achievement of exceptional A Level results, with this year’s students setting a new college record for achieving the very highest grades.

A record number of the top grades (A*, A, B) have been awarded to students at the college, with an incredible number - 57% achieving the very highest levels of achievement.

Exeter School celebrates excellent A-level results

As Exeter School commemorates its 20th year of full co-education, it is celebrating a set of excellent A-level results, with a 100% pass rate.

Thirty-nine pupils scored three or more A* or A grades, with 23% of all results at A*. 61% of all grades were A* or A, with 91% at A*, A or B.

Police appeal after thieves get away with cash and clothes from Exmouth home

Police in Exmouth are seeking information after cash and clothes were taken from an Exmouth home on Tuesday 15 August.

The offender/s got inside the building on Church Road sometime between 11.30am and 3pm when the victim was out of the house.

After an untidy search of the premises, they made off with around £600 cash and several items including a pair of black lace up Firetrap shoes at size 11 and a pair of AKG bud type ear phones in black.
