Rob Baxter insists his side will “fight for everything” ahead of tomorrow’s crunch European Champions Cup encounter with Montpellier at Sandy Park (3:15pm). In what is effectively a ‘do-or-die’ encounter for both sides in a hugely competitive Pool 3, the English champions know victory is imperative if they are to stand any chance of advancing into the latter stages of the competition. Back-to-back defeats against runaway pool leaders Leinster have seen the Chiefs slip to third in the standings, four points adrift of their French rivals, who themselves have put themselves back in the...
I fell in love with football at an early age; standing on a wooden stool, supported by my Dad, watching Coventry City at home in the “covered end” at Highfield Road, or away on the asphalt banks of Fellows Park, Walsall.
It was a family thing; not just my family but being part of the football club “family”.
I was lucky enough to be at Wembley in 1987, to witness “one of the best FA Cup Finals ever” (quote: John Motson); I was with my Dad and both of my brothers and a “family” of friends. So, where’s this leading to...
The Monochrome format simplifies and strengthens our photographs. We draw attention to what caught our eye. We highlight patterns of light and shadow, or use light falling across a surface to emphasise grainy textures. An effective monochrome is reliant on its composition. A careful arrangement of shapes, lines, textures and patterns can transform your photograph.
MONOCHROME is a touring photographic exhibition created and supported by The Photographic Angle.

However, following his performance against Barnet on December 30 – where he scored his first goal in senior football – the highly-rated full-back returned to his parent club following the end of his initial loan deal...
Exeter manager Paul Tisdale wants Kyle Edwards to follow the lead of West Brom team-mate Kane Wilson and extend his loan spell with the Grecians.

The 17-year-old made eight appearances in his first spell while 19-year-old Edwards has enjoyed ten outings in League Two and 14 in total, scoring one goal to date.
Having come up through the West Brom academy, Edwards was an unused substitute in a League Cup match...
Thousands of fragile and irreplaceable images of Devon have been preserved for future generations to see thanks to University of Exeter experts.
The shots – including famous locations in Exeter and Devon as they looked generations ago - are on view for the first time in a century after magic lantern slides were digitised.
The slides – hand-painted images on slides and photographic transparencies - were used in projectors, either in private homes or at public events in churches, town halls and schools to show images that would delight and enlighten audiences. They feature...
