Devon's acclaimed Ladram Bay Holiday Park has finished its 75th anniversary year on a high after being declared the West Country's top destination for kids and adults. The Budleigh Salterton park scooped the top Diamond Award for Family Fun in the Devon, Somerset and Dorset region in November's prestigious Hoseasons Awards. Runners complete the Exeter MoRuns

Hundreds of runners turned up at River Valley Park on Saturday morning to take on the Exeter 1.5k, 5k and 10k MoRuns, in a bid to raise awareness and funds for men’s health.

QE Student Recognised in Devon Community Honours 2018

QE Year 9 Student Millie Twigg is being recognised as a Young Hero at the forthcoming Devon Community Honours 2018. Earlier this year Millie shaved her hair off to raise awareness and funds for alopecia. Millie’s brother suffers from the condition and was the motivation behind her fundraising efforts.

Millie said; “I am very excited to have been chosen as a Young Hero but the real hero is my brother who suffers from alopecia and was the inspiration behind my fundraising efforts. So I would like to dedicate this honour to him.”

Exeter youngsters beat 10,000 others to win prize

A group of young people from Exeter who devised a new system for Foodbank donations at a city centre supermarket have been rewarded for their efforts, beating 10,000 other projects to win a prestigious prize.

The group, who are aged 15-17, took part in this summer’s National Citizen Service (NCS), which is run in Exeter by the CITY Community Trust.

New £300m vision for Exeter city centre revealed

A new £300m vision to redevelop a key site in the centre of Exeter has been revealed by the City Council.

The development concept for Exeter Bus Station includes housing, offices, restaurants and retail, as well as the possibility of a new multi-use entertainment venue.

It would sit alongside the planned new state-of-the art Passivhaus leisure complex St Sidwell’s Point, and a new Exeter Bus Station, which are both being funded by the city council.
