THIS MOTHER’S Day (March 31), Exeter mums are being urged to join the fight against cancer by entering Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life.
For the first time, grown-up sons will be able to take part alongside their mothers as Cancer Research UK opens up the Race for Life events to everyone.
Taking part in the Race for Life is a hugely moving experience as people come together to remember loved ones lost to cancer, celebrate the lives of those dear to them who have survived or support those going through treatment.
Many people will be taking part in their local event...
Rachel Hamilton, 27 from Exeter, is a Hospiscare staff nurse and has been working for the local charity on the ward at Searle House for two years. At the end of 2018 Rachel married Ben Turner who also has connections to Hospiscare volunteering as a Trustee.

Rachel who has always loved singing, joined the Hospiscare choir’s soprano section as soon as she became a Hospiscare nurse.
Hospiscare’s annual Coffee Morning event is now under way. Throughout the area, people are signing up to raise funds for the local charity by holding coffee mornings in their homes, community halls and even their local parks. Businesses, too, are getting ready to bake and boil for Hospiscare.
Last year, Hospiscare supporters held more than 100 coffee mornings, together raising over £15,000. The charity is hoping to beat that target this year and hoping to raise a whopping £30,000.
Event organiser, Lianne Harding said: “Above all, we want people to enjoy themselves while...
