Camilla is a new tea from the Oolong Tea Company, which is based in Torpoint’s Portwrinkle. The tea was sourced and created by the company’s founder, Eve Baker, and named after Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall in tribute to the Duchy’s work across the South West, as well as her ongoing support of Devon County Show - she was President back in 2008 and attended as a guest in 2013.

March was "walk over cancer" month for Cancer Research UK. The team at Impact for Change fully embraced this challenge. Russell Chapman complete 20,000 steps a day, Shane Pulling and Clare Leach, 10,000 steps a day for the whole of the month. Even young people got involved with Amara (10) and Rhea (9) Morris completing the 10,000 step challenge. As a team they walked over a staggering 930 miles!

Two signs for a speculative high-end housing development in St Leonards were removed on Tuesday after they were repeatedly defaced by graffiti. Burrington Estates had placed the signs, advertising the development, around the playing field site just before Easter. People who took part in Devon’s Drink Wise, Age Well programme cut the average amount of alcohol they drink on a typical drinking day by half from 15 units to 7. They also reported reducing the number of drinking days per month from 28 at initial assessment to 13 upon discharge from the programme.
