Coffee morning helps local housebuilders raise funds for Macmillan

Cakes, coffee and a chat with the neighbours have helped local housebuilders Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The five-star housebuilders put the kettle on at the Minerva development in Exeter last week as part of The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, inviting residents, neighbours and staff to join in for a morning of socialising.

Now the company has totted up the total and the event raised £142.68 for the extremely worthwhile charity.

DEVONIANS planning Bonfire Night parties or fireworks displays this November (2019) are being urged to spare a thought for the elderly and vulnerable in their area before they host an event.

Guardian Homecare is asking people to inform any elderly neighbours they may have in their community of any potential parties and displays taking place.

During the summer months Darts Farm is renowned for its vibrant yellow fields of pick-your-own sunflowers and it’s superb ‘Maize Maze’.
