Bundy joins Chiefs Women’s coaching team

Exeter Chiefs Women will welcome Ross Bundy as assistant coach for the 2026/27 season.

A specialist in forwards and defence, including the contact and breakdown areas, Bundy has joined Chiefs from Leicester Tigers Women.

As a former player, Bundy ran out for Racing Club Narbonne, Nottingham and Scotland U20s, before turning his attention to coaching.

The former head coach of Leicester Tigers Women began his coaching career as head coach at Rotterdam Rugby and was retained as a consultant coach after a successful first season with the Dutch team.

During this time, Bundy was recruited as assistant coach for Edinburgh Rugby Women before moving to the Midlands where he was also involved in the men’s environment.

While at Leicester, Bundy had to rebuild the women’s rugby programme and squad after the departure of 28 players the previous season. He also helped create a clear player pathway via a partnership with the University of Nottingham.

Bundy said: “I am really excited to join a club like Exeter Chiefs. It’s a club whose values and playing style really suit me.

“It’s also a club with big goals. I am hoping I can add to what was a great season last year and help the team achieve even more this season.”

Exeter Rugby Group Ltd’s CEO Tony Rowe CBE said: “We look forward to seeing what Ross can do with our talented group of players here at Exeter. He will not only bring experience as a forwards coach but also the recruitment and leadership nous that comes with being a head coach.”
