Exeter-based EX2 Group has been selected to join the Greener Futures Partnership’s (GFP) Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), a key UK-wide procurement route aimed at accelerating decarbonisation in social housing.

Under this framework, EX2 Group will deliver and install low-carbon systems including heating, lighting, solar generation, battery storage, EV charging, and whole-house retrofit solutions across the South West.

This appointment strengthens Exeter’s growing reputation in green infrastructure and sustainability. GFP is a collaboration between five housing associations who collectively own over 300,000 homes, representing 9% of the total UK social housing market, as well as commercial and community buildings.  EX2 Group will provide their pre-qualified, technically capable retrofit specialists for streamlining deliveries of net zero projects.

Martyn Beale, Managing Director at EX2 Group, said: “Our appointment demonstrates EX2’s proven capacity to design and deliver complete low-carbon systems at scale … We bring the technical expertise, project management capability and supply chain resilience to meet operational and asset management challenges head-on.”

Alongside its project work, EX2 Group is also investing in the future workforce. The company partners with Exeter College and Building Greater Exeter, and currently supports seven apprentices on four-year courses. These apprentices gain hands-on training and mentorship, ensuring that the next generation of skilled engineers is developed locally.

With EX2’s inclusion on this national framework, the South West stands to benefits from the growing expert team that delivers low carbon solutions, as well as retaining technical expertise within the region.
