New era for the Brend Collection
After completion of a successful and amicable shareholder buyout, the Brend Collection are looking forward to a bright future together, still as a fully family-owned business.
The Brend Collection includes The Saunton Sands Hotel in Saunton, The Carlyon Bay Hotel in Cornwall, The Victoria in Sidmouth, The Royal Duchy in Falmouth, The Belmont in Sidmouth, The Park in Barnstaple, The Imperial in Barnstaple, The Royal & Fortescue in Barnstaple and The Barnstaple.
First established in 1955 by Percy and Florence Brend and currently employing more than 1100 staff, The Brend Collection boasts some of the most iconic hotels in the UK.
Recent developments have included building award-winning Source Spa and Wellness centres at The Saunton Sands and The Victoria hotels – with another major spa expansion planned for The Carlyon Bay Hotel.
The Brend Collection has had a major re-brand in the last three years and remaining directors Pete Brend, Matthew Brend and Justin Brend alongside chairman John Brend are looking forward to taking the group forward together, for generations to come.
Peter Brend, Director, said “A sense of family has always been at the heart of our business, and nothing will change in that respect. It’s an ethos that drives everything we do - from our service philosophy to our most valued assets and our highly professional team.”
Director Matthew Brend added: “We will continue to invest in our wonderful properties and are very proud of all that has been achieved over the last seventy years. We wish Richard Brend and his family all the best and every success with The Royal Hotel, The Devon Hotel and Taw Garages.”
