Devon showcases its outstanding produce with Food Drink Devon at the Devon County Show

Food Drink Devon, Devon’s leading food and drink membership organisation, is looking forward to a busy and exciting few days ahead at Devon County Show (15th - 17th May 2025) as it looks to welcome new businesses and represent its 370 members.

A delicious celebration of the county’s finest food and drink, Food Drink Devon is right at the heart of Devon County Show’s Food & Drink Pavilion.  Eight of their members will join together in a designated Food Drink Devon area, as well as many others exhibiting both inside and outside the Pavilion.  Food Drink Devon is also proud to be supporting Devon Food Partnership at the ‘People, Planet, Profit: How do we get local food on our plate?’ event in the Farmers' Hub at 1pm on Thursday (15th May).

Food Drink Devon is a Community Interest Company (CIC) that works on behalf of Devon's finest food and drink producers, retailers, hospitality venues and related businesses with a focus on quality, sustainability and provenance.

Greg Parsons, Chair of Food Drink Devon, comments: “Look out for the green hearts at the Devon County Show in the food and drink marquee and further afield.  The quality of products the county is producing and serving is nothing short of outstanding.”

Greg continues: “With the current news surrounding the future of Taste of the West we want to remind all those involved in the county’s food and drink industry that Food Drink Devon is here to help them. Our membership continues to grow and we welcome all businesses in the field from start-ups to long established companies. Furthermore, the Food Drink Devon board would like to extend our well wishes to John and the Taste of the West team in difficult times and we invite any Devon-based members to join our events at members’ rates for the remainder of 2025. In challenging times, we understand how difficult it is to effectively run industry support organisations and we lean heavily on our amazing and very capable board who give their time to Food Drink Devon for free, as well as our brilliant team. If we can help, please get in touch”.

Over the summer months Food Drink Devon has a host of activities planned. A new summit for the South West’s dynamic food and drink community, ‘Gather’, is set to take place on Wednesday 11th June at The Forum, University of Exeter (9:15am to 4:30pm). Thought-provoking sessions from leading keynote speakers from across Devon, Cornwall and Dorset will take place throughout the day covering topics including marketing and branding, insights and innovation, sales and routes to market, growth, technology, raising finance and people.

After its runaway success last year, the Love Local Food Festival by Greendale, in collaboration with Food Drink Devon, is returning to Exeter Castle on Saturday 9th August from 10am - 6pm. Free to enter and set in the heart of the city, the festival promises a day of delicious food and drink, live entertainment and family fun, all while celebrating the very best of Devon’s food and drink.
