Persimmon Homes South West has promoted from within to find its new Contracts Manager.

Kenny Corrick has moved into the position after serving as a site manager and senior site manager for the five-star housebuilder for the last six years. He was an assistant site manager for two years before that.

Kenny has had a long career in construction, starting aged 17. He was an apprentice carpenter that used to sub-contract for Persimmon back in 1998, working on sites in Honiton and Seaton in Devon, before a spell as a self-employed carpenter.

Following this, he held several supervisory roles for carpentry companies before heading into project management for a local building company with varying projects until 2016, before starting his journey with Persimmon.

In his new role, Kenny will ensure compliance with contractual obligations, maximizing efficiency, as they act as a liaison between the company and external parties, including clients, vendors, and contractors, managing and maintaining relationships.

Persimmon Homes South West has sites across the regions, with high-quality homes available for sale in Cullompton, Dawlish, Exeter, Newton Abbot, Paignton, Taunton, and Yeovil.

Commenting on his appointment, Kenny said:

“What draws me to Persimmon has always been a bit sentimental – it is where it started for me, the people have always been great, and its determination in recent years to improve is one that really chimes with me.

“My career started with Persimmon and I’d like to think that I could end my working days at here, so I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into my new role and doing a good job for the company.”

Persimmon Homes South West’s managing director, Dan Heathcote, added:

“It’s a great to see Kenny climb the ladder at Persimmon – he’s been a much-valued part of the team for the best part of a decade and we’re proud to see people progress through the business.

“The South West business has many high-quality sites under construction with exciting plans to bring more much-needed homes to the region in the coming years, and I am pleased Kenny will be a part of those projects.

“I look forward to seeing what he does in his new position.”
