We may be nearing the end of 2022, but video gaming developers have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly on the production front for 2023.

There are a plethora of titles that have already been penned for release, and many of these are sequels that will delight gaming fans all over the world.

Many of these titles will be making full use of the newer consoles out there, including the PS5 and Xbox Series X. So, in this guide, we will outline some of the highly anticipated video gaming sequels, discuss what fans can expect, and we will make note of official releases too.

Street Fighter 6

Having taken a seven-year break from the gaming scene, Ryu and his crew are back, and there are three distinct game modes to tuck into. There is a Fighting Ground for old-school Street Fighter action, but then you will also come across the campaign mode called World Tour where you have to climb the greasy pole in order to be crowned champion, as well as the Battle Hub for multiplayer action.

While there’s no confirmed release date yet, the latest version of Street Fighter shows how far this title has come since the first instalment of the game was released back in 1991. It was one of the highest-grossing video games of all time, and this iconic title has since made a seamless transition from gaming consoles to video arcades, and more latterly, even to online casinos.

Indeed, Street Fighter II has quickly become a popular slot choice. Developed by renowned software provider NetEnt, Street Fighter replicates many of the same graphics as the original video gaming titles.

With an array of features, including avalanche and battle features, Street Fighter II boasts glowing reviews found at online-slot.co.uk.

Resident Evil 4 (Remake)

Earmarked for release on March 24, 2023, the remastered version of Resident Evil will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, and this remake is expected to stick to the original script.

While this video game veers away from ravenous zombies for an all-encompassing biological terror, there have been a series of technical upgrades carried out that give it a modern technique that will resonate with staunch gaming fans.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Insomniac raised the bar for superhero video games when Marvel’s Spider-Man on PS4, and it was adept at combining thrilling action with superb gameplay.

Now, Spider-Man 2 will be ready to roll off the production line, and while there’s no official date for release, this will be a treat for Marvel fans. Miles Morales will take centre stage and it will pit him against the villainous Venom.

Final Fantasy VII Remake: Rebirth

With an expected release date sometime in Q4 of 2023, the remake of the brilliant Final Fantasy franchise deviates away from the original game, as it is a game within a game with a three-part retelling and expansion of the original game.

VII which initially exploded onto the scene in 1997 is widely considered to be one of the greatest video games ever made, so there’s no pressure to deliver once again.
