Exeter retirees enjoy Natonal Trust talk at Pinnoc Mews

Exeter retirees took the opportunity to find out more about the hidden secrets of the historic Killerton House property in Broadclyst, when a representative from the National Trust visited McCarthy and Stone’s Pinnoc Mews Retirement Living development in Pinhoe, Exeter recently.

Guests joined homeowners and staff at the development on Bakers Way for a talk on the 18th century property, which was left to the National Trust by the Acland family in 1944.  Everyone enjoyed a glass of fizz in the homeowners’ lounge while they listened to guest speaker, Eileen Dillon, from the National Trust.  After the talk, there was a prize draw for a National Trust annual membership for two, which was won by Miss E Gadsden.

All those who attended the special event were also invited to take a closer look at Pinnoc Mews and to have a tour of the recently-unveiled show complex.  Visitors also spent time chatting to the McCarthy and Stone team, and retirees who are already living at the development.
