Newton Abbot based construction company, Randall Simmonds, have pledged a monthly donation to YMCA Exeter in support of their expanding service provision in the county.

YMCA Exeter provide services in Supported Accommodation, Employment and Health & Wellbeing, for young people who are experiencing homelessness. The local charity, which was founded in 1846, is one of the oldest YMCAs in the world and supports over 1000 young people every year across Exeter, East, Mid and North Devon.

Speaking on behalf of the Newton Abbot based construction company, Phil Lewis from Randall Simmonds says:

“We are delighted to associate ourselves with YMCA Exeter and become one of their Corporate Partners. As support services face decline, giving a monthly financial donation means that our business can help meet the increasing need for housing young people that YMCA Exeter provide. We can play our part in making a lasting difference.”

Hilary Bush, Partnerships Coordinator at YMCA Exeter, says:“Homelessness is not just a lack of accommodation. The young people we support experience loneliness and isolation through lack of a stable family unit. As youth homelessness increases in Exeter, our Corporate Partnerships put a human face on a complex social need.”
