Call for donations of fashion resources and equipment
Fabric of Life and the Bavubuka Allstarz Foundation are putting out a call for their global family and friends in the UK, USA, Canada and East Africa to donate fashion resources and equipment.
Fabric of Life is celebrating the stories and dreams of young aspiring Ugandan fashion designers through education, social entrepreneurship and community action
Fabric of Life is nurturing a generation of community leaders and social entrepreneurs, creating capacity for young Ugandans to build sustainable livelihood opportunities in the textile industry, seeded in their unique stories and dreams.
We are looking for donations of fabric, textile equipment, fashion magazines/books/videos and online resources, plus creative entrepreneurial materials such as teaching resources around branding, marketing and business development.
These materials will support our fashion workshops in the M-LISADA orphanage in Kampala where we are currently teaching 10 young women the art of fashion design and storytelling, working towards building skills that will give them a livelihood in the industry.
The materials will also contribute to our Make-It Lab at the Bavubuka Dynasty cultural centre, where for years to come we will host liberating fashion education workshops and activities in partnership with In Place of War
Your donations will contribute to liberating fashion education and will give young people in marginalized communities the chance to thrive and nurture their talents in the creative industry.
Please share and inquire where possible! Thanks for your support
