SW drivers can get £2 cashback on £10 or more fuel spend

Many households are being driven to despair with the strain of high fuel and vehicle costs. 43% of motorists have already taken action by reducing the amount they drive and another 18% have taken steps to drive more efficiently. The average cost for one litre of unleaded petrol is now £1.36; a hefty price to pay for the South West commuter who on average drives 3,010 miles a year.

With this in mind, TopCashback.co.uk is giving drivers unprecedented discounts on petrol and diesel of up to 20%. Consumers will receive £2 cashback when spending £10 or more at service stations, simply by snapping a picture of their receipt and submitting it through TopCashback’s new Snap & Save facility, available on its mobile app and website.

Natasha-Rachel Smith, Consumer Affairs Editor at TopCashback, said: “This discount means £10 of fuel priced at £1.36 per litre will effectively be cut to £1.09 per litre; an amount not seen since 2008.”

To get the petrol savings, motorists should follow these simple steps:

  • Become a member of TopCashback.co.uk - it’s free to join and use – then sign-in;
  • Purchase £10 or more worth of fuel from applicable service stations.
  • Leave the forecourt. Snap or scan a picture of the till receipt, clearly showing the service station name, transaction amount, receipt number, plus date and time of purchase;
  • Submit the picture via the mobile app by clicking on ‘in-store’ cashback, then the ‘Snap & Save’ icon or alternately via the website page;
  • Cashback will take two or three days to appear (up to seven days in busy periods) in accounts but will be payable immediately;
  • The £2 cashback can immediately be withdrawn into your bank or PayPal account, converted into Amazon e-vouchers (which gives a 5% bonus) or loaded on to an existing Love2shop gift card (which gives a 4% bonus);
  • The petrol discount offer is available from 00:01 Thursday 14 February 2013 and can only be redeemed once per person.
