City’s 'Super Saver' Season Tickets on sale from Monday

Exeter City are thanking their supporters, both old and new, by announcing that season ticket prices for next season are being frozen at 2012/13 levels for those who purchase in the Super Saver period (which runs from 18th February 2013 to 6th April 2013), except for U12 tickets in the Stagecoach and Big Bank stands – although these still represent fantastic value, at less than £2.25 per game.

An adult season ticket for the Big Bank is just £289 – the equivalent of £12.57 per game – which is a saving of £102 on the gate price, while a Premium U12 season ticket in the Flybe stand has been reduced by nearly 75 per cent and is now just £85.

“Despite the challenging economic times we are still facing, we have tried to ensure that for supporters the cost of coming to St James Park remains attractive.  By keeping the  Super Saver prices pegged at the same level as last season, we are rewarding those whose regular attendance and support is so important to us – both on and off the pitch,” said Julian Tagg, the club’s chief executive.

A Premium adult Flybe season ticket is £408 – less than £17.75 per game – which is a saving of £144 on the matchday ticket price and the price of an U18/Student Big Bank season ticket is held at £85 for the fifth year in a row.

To qualify for these prices, supporters will need to return their renewal or application forms by 6 April 2013, as prices will increase slightly for the Saver period, which ends on 3 June.

The club is also reminding fans that they can become more involved with their club by joining the Exeter City Foundation and the Supporters’ Trust, both of which are vital in terms of the stability of the club.

“People can save even more on these Super Saver prices, while at the same time contributing to the playing budget,” Julian Tagg said.  “If you become a member of the Exeter City Foundation, you will save a further 10 ten per cent, while at the same time helping to secure the future of the club’s Football in the Community and youth system.”

Paul Tisdale, the Exeter City manager, is backing the season ticket campaign and is keen to get more fans involved with the running of their club, which is owned by the Supporters’ Trust – for which he recently renewed his own membership.

“We are pushing for promotion to League 1, so I would urge supporters to make the most of these Super Saver prices while they can – they represent excellent value.  Also, like me, they can invest in this club and become part of its ownership as a shareholder by joining the Supporters’ Trust – the lifeblood of Exeter City – for a minimum payment of £2 a month,” he said.

“I really appreciate all the support the team gets from the fans at St James Park and so by holding these prices at the same level as last year, the club wants to give something back to thank them for their loyalty.”
