Tesco lights up Christmas at Vranch House
Tesco Extra Exeter Vale is lighting up Christmas for a charity which provides treatment and therapies for children and young people throughout Devon with physical difficulties.
Manager Ian Dyer, Community Champion Jo Evans and Tesco colleagues from the Russell Way store visited Vranch House to deliver an eight-foot Christmas artificial tree and help put up festive lights and decorations.
The store also handed over a cheque for £500 to Kate Moss, Head of Therapy and Ian Norton, Head of Education, at the charity, based on Pinhoe Road, Exeter.
Vranch House is a centre for the treatment of over 2,000 outpatients with physical difficulties, a provider of various therapies throughout Devon and an independent Day School in Exeter for children with significant physical difficulties.
It has a Christmas tree in the hall for the children and staff to enjoy each year but the tree used in previous years was past its best and needed to be replaced.
Tesco Extra Exeter Vale store manager Ian Dyer said: “The work that Vranch House does is exceptional and it delivers first class services to an important part of our community; children and young people with a wide range of disabilities.
“They deserve the very best we can provide and we are delighted to be able to help out in this way.”
Kate Moss of Vranch House said: “Putting up decorations and lighting up the new Christmas tree put everyone in a festive mood and we are delighted with the help Tesco have provided as well as the donation, which will help maintain the services which we provide.”
The Tesco Exeter Vale Extra store is open 24 hours from Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
